Evaluation: Question 1- In what ways does your magazine use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

1. Titles-  I put the text in a coloured box as it makes it stand out and also adds a bit of detail to the page. This is also done in 'Q' Magazine but I have chosen to use a different colour scheme. Also the fact that I used 'features' and 'review' like in 'Q' as they are relevant to my magazine.
2. Stories- I decided to position my stories in the style of a list like in 'Q' but to make it a bit different i didn't add as much text underneath. Also, the page on the right has more detail than the one on the left.
3. Pictures- On both covers there is a picture on the right and a picture that is part of the review section i decided to develop this idea by using a female instead of a band to attract my target audience.
1. Colour- I used the colour red, the same as in 'Q' magazine. However, I have used a lot more of the colour to make my page brighter and stand out more.
2. Review Section- Both magazine's have a review section however the layout of them both is completely different as 'Q' magazine is written in columns where as mine is not.

1. 'Contents'- The title of my contents page is much bigger than the one on 'Q' magazine's. I wanted it to stand out so that it was the first thing that caught the readers eye.
2. Picture- The main picture on my magazine is of a female solo artist where as in 'Q' it is a four piece male band. Also, my picture takes up half of the frame and is also part of the background.
3. Page Number- To improve this page I would do what 'Q' magazine does here and put details about the page next to the number to let the audience get a better insight of what the story is about.
