Research and Planning: Double Page Spread That Is Similar To Mine

This double page spread is similar to the layout I have chosen for my magazine. The picture takes up the whole of the background and the text is on top. I like this graphology as it is quite unique however the only disadvantage is that I may be limited to one picture on the page.

Research & Planning: My Magazine Today

Today, I changed the font of the text that was originally 'Georgia' to 'Arial' bold  as I think that it fits with the genre of my magazine more.

Research & Planning: Photoshoot

These are the photo's I took for my cover and double page spread, overall, I am very proud of them as most of them are focused. I experimented with flash outside and also inside, also I took the flash off and those pictures turned out to be the best as they do not make the model white-washed. I went to different locations in The City of Manchester and I think that the pictures with the graffiti style background are the most effective even though graffiti isn't usually associated with my particular genre it works as it is a contrast. The picture behind in front of the glass window didn't work as the flash reflected off the window. I think the pictures in the cafe are good quality but I don't know if I want to use one in my magazine. The pictures with the brick wall worked well so I am going to use one of them on the front cover as i used medium close ups. I don't the pictures with the sign 'Ladies and Men' worked very well as i don't think the mise-en-scene was suitable.
